- Clive Christian Seasonal Wishlist -

With Christmas being a few days away and most of us likely hoping to awake to one of our favourite bottles of perfume in our stockings, I thought I would share my perfume wishlist from Clive Christian- you can view Clive Christians products here: Luxury Fragrance Gift Sets

Throughout the seasons I find that my taste in perfumes change. For example, I always feel that you should match the smell of your perfume to the vision that you have of each season in your mind. For me, I think of spring being slightly fresh with lots of flowers, so I feel it is lovely to wear a lighter, more floral scent and then in the winter it's all about the cosy log fire, so I then prefer a heavier musky scent.

So rather than a normal Wishlist I am going to share with you my seasonal favourites. I hope this also gives you some ideas of what scents you think go best with the seasons. Here we have my 'Clive Christian Seasonal Wishlist'...

I feel that spring is just the time to wear light girly scents. Like I said, to me, spring means fields upon fields of flowers and green grass and I think this is just the most perfect and happy thought to match your fragrance up to. So I have picked the The Private Collection - C Green Floral. This perfume contains notes of fruit, floral and grass- I personally don't think you could get any closer to my vision of spring in a bottle.

In my mind summer just screams citrus. Citrus scents have such a refreshing feel to them and are always uplifting clean smells, so in the summer this just needs to be reflected in your perfume. For this reason, I have chosen the Original Collection, Feminine Edition in Citrus. Not only does this perfume keep the light floral feel from spring, but with its top note being bergamot oranges it really gives you that citrus zing. One think I love is that this scent also has a woody base note which means it's a great scent to take you into autumn.

Autumn is that time of year where the streets are sprinkled with leaves of all shades of orange and your jumpers start to make an appearance, so why not also keep that heart-warming feel with you in your perfume. For autumn I like going for slightly heavier, cosy scents but not too cosy, as we still need to feel refreshed because there is work to be done! For this I have chosen The Private Collection - C Woody Leather, this perfume has a smokiness to it with its notes of saffron and tobacco but also keeps you feeling refreshed with mandarin. You can probably tell by now I love to have citrus throughout most perfumes I wear, as for me citrus is a productive smell- I think this perfume sounds absolutely amazing!

The final perfume on my Wishlist is for my favourite time of the year, winter! This is the time of year that I feel you can go as musky and heavy with your perfume as you wish, it's the time of year for cosying up and getting ready for Christmas.

Winter makes me think of log fires, candles and of course sitting under the most luxurious blanket whilst watching your favourite films and all of these things mean that I have to choose the most woody scent that I could find. So here it is my ultimate pick for this Wishlist, The Absolute Collection Sandalwood Crystal

Perfume really is so magical. It can mentally transport you back to some really special times, remind you of people you've crossed paths with, completely change your mood and add to your confidence.

The scent of a person is always my first and lasting impression of someone. It is such a personal thing and our choices of scents are what make each and every one of us so individual.

If you fancy the chance of winning some goodies from Clive Christian, they are running an advent calendar competition everyday up until Christmas over on their Instagram.

- Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide -

With Christmas having approached far too quickly for my brain to comprehend, I have left my Christmas shopping until later than ever before. For this reason I thought I'd help some of you who are in the same situation by sharing my favourite finds for the women in your life... So here is my last minute Christmas gift guide!

Starting with this rather pretty set of three crackers. These are the perfect stocking fillers and contain Lemon Verbena Body Mist, Lemon Verbena Body Lotion and Vanilla Lip Balm- you really can not go wrong and they're down to £7 from £15 at the moment!

My next pick is this Clinique makeup set that is perfect for this time of year and makes creating the most glamorous Christmas makeup look very easy. At just £25, it's definitely a thing that any woman would love to find under the tree on Christmas morning!

It contains: Chubby Stick Sculpting Hightlight, High Impact Mascara In Black, Quickliner For Eyes Intense in Intense Ebony, Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Mightiest Maraschino.

For my third pick I had to include this cute pink bobble hat from Oasis. It has sparkly pink sequins scattered through it and at just £14 it would be the perfect match with any fur coat!

Lily Sequin Beanie - Here

I of course had to include the InStyler Glossie within this. I have a whole blog post on this hair straightening brush and really do love how well designed and easy to use it is, but also how well it smooths and straightens your hair. At just £59.99 it is a bargain and looks great on any dressing table!

I absolutely love stars and gravitate towards any star print items like a magpie does to shiny things. So when I found this sparkly star keyring I just had to have it! Oasis have some really nice keyrings, that make the perfect little stocking fillers.

And my last but by no means least Christmas gift guide pick is the Dreamland Heated blanket. This is my personal favourite item from this gift guide- it is just the ultimate blanket for snuggling up in and watching movies on a cold December night and it's a great help with any aches and pains that you may have. It is £120.00 and worth every penny. Normal blankets will never be the same after you've tried one of these!

I wish you all the most magical Christmas and a new year full of health, happiness and great things x

- InStyler Glossie -

I'm always looking for the best and easiest hair products that will keep my naturally curly hair as frizz-free as possible after blow drying and I think my search is now officially over!

Last week I received the Instyler Glossie through the post after the lovely ladies at Luxury Communications reached out to me and kindly gifted me one to try out. It has four settings ranging from 150°C to 230°C, along with ceramic plates that get hot and bristles which stay cool- I have found this to help with keeping my hair away from fizz, as the heat isn't as intense on my hair as your normal hair straightener.

I also love the idea of not having the struggle of holding a hair brush in one hand and a straightener in the other- doing your hair has just become a whole lot easier!

For a video of how I use the InStyler Glossie, feel free to head over to my Instagram page (link below)! Thank you again to InStyler and Luxley Communications for sending me this.

- Two Hours In Blankenberge -

In September 2017, I visited Blankenberge in Belgium for two hours- yes two hours! After wanting to visit Belgium for a while I had my expectations of how it would look and it lived up to them by being exactly how I had imagined.

Blankenberge is a costal town on the North Sea- it has a long beach, marina and pier. Along with many high-rise buildings that sit along roads full of shops. These shops include bakeries, ice cream stands, clothing stores and most importantly... chocolate shops! (one of the things you definitely hope
to stumble across when in Belgium)

These roads also often lead us to the most beautiful churches...

One of these churches being Sint-Antoniuskerk Church, which translates to St.Anthony Church. It was the most amazing church I have ever seen, built in the middle of the 14th century and full to the brim with details that you could easily stare at all day. Completely mesmerising!

St-Antoniuskerk Church used to be a lot larger back in 14th century but after suffering majorly by being demolished in the second half of the 16th century, all that was left standing was its walls, columns and towers. In the 17th century it got restored to its former glory before closing for a further thirty seven years. In 1926 it was decided that the church would open to the public again, where two years later it got restored to exactly what it is today.
If you're ever in Blankenberge then definitely have a wander inside. You won't regret it; it is  fascinating!

Other than seeing this amazing church and all of the architecture that came with it, one other thing that I noticed (and it quickly became my favourite thing) was the amount of cute dogs there was to see.

Every time you expected to see a child being pushed along in a buggy, it was instead a cute dog with a bow in its hair. There was a dog walking around in a pair of sunglasses and just puppies everywhere looking completely adorable! As a person that could easily own five thousand dogs, you won't be surprised to hear that I had to remind myself to actually look up at Blankenberge rather than spending all of my time looking at the cute pets that were using the street as their catwalk.

Overall from my two hours in Blankenberge, I would definitely recommend it for a quick trip or a weekend break. Hotels range from sixty one pounds onwards and cruise ships dock fifteen minutes away.

As Blankenberge is the nearest town to where the cruise ships dock, it doesn't cost you anything to leave the ship and get on a shuttle bus to be dropped off at the town. You can then have a good look around and when you've finished admiring the views, simply catch a lift back to the cruise ship on one of the awaiting buses!

See you again soon Belgium!

- Zara Sweatshirt -

After scrolling through Zara's website and finding this sweatshirt, I knew that I had to share it on my blog with you all!

As someone who isn't a usual fan of sweatshirts, the colour and the faux fur oversized sleeves on this one sold it to me. The cuffed sleeves also make it seem as though you're introducing Christmas to your wardrobe and I absolutely love it. I know I will be living in this throughout autumn/winter, so I shall definitely be getting myself back online to purchase all of the other colours!

It is completely perfect for those cosy autumn days.

- Autumn -

So as the sun seems to be saying cheerio for another year, this is enough to tell me that it's acceptable to get in the full autumn/winter spirit slightly too early. So I am uploading my first autumn makeup look and nothing says autumn more than a plum lip!

The start of September for me also means that it is now the run up to Christmas. Some people may say this is too early but as the number one fan of Christmas (most likely a bigger fan than all of the little children, let's be real) it's never too early in my eyes! For this reason I thought I'd do a double liner with this pretty Urban Decay glitter eyeshadow because you should always take any opportunity to mix autumn and Christmas together.

I used Urban Decays Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow in 'Zap' for the gold eyeliner and then a Mac lipstick in 'Sin' to create this look!

Flared Sleeves And Orange Lenses

Today I thought I'd post about this outfit, as it is all about the flared sleeves and orange lenses and I thought that couldn't be any more appropriate for this time of year!

Also how cute is this star necklace from Bloom Boutique? I chose to pair it with this thin gold choker necklace to add layers but also keep the jewellery dainty. All of these items just happen to be on sale too, so happy shopping!

The Great Outdoors

I thought I would do a different type of post today and upload some of the photos that I have had sitting in my camera roll for a good few months now.

When I was too unwell to even leave my bed, the one place where I desperately wished that I could instead be was outside within nature. Sometimes it's not until you know what it's like to feel truly unwell that you fully understand how completely freeing being within a forest or in the middle of the countryside can be. So now whenever I am able to, I take my camera and never take any of the great outdoors for granted.

A big thank you to my brother for always being my go-to model!
